A foggy Winter morning in Mandeville at the Northlake Nature center.

It could also be Middle Earth,

or a scene from a prehistoric era, or maybe post apocalyptic.

That’s the feeling you get being there…a sense of timelessness.

Infinity’s Gate

One of my favorite images from the Lake Road portfolio. It was one of those

mystifying, foggy mornings. Perfectly calm and eerily silent. After the sun came up

the fog started to clear in the west, revealing a beautiful blue sky. The remaining fog

masked the horizon and provided a bright glow on the eastern side of the scene.

I knew this was going to be a one-out-of-twenty trip where I’d end up with some
